POSITION TITLE: Front Desk Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Front Desk
REPORTS TO: Front Desk Manager
FLSA STATUS: Hourly
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time

Position Summary:
The Front Desk Attendant will be responsible for checking guests in and out, conduct facility tours, escort canine and feline guest to their suites, answer customer inquiries over the phone, in person and online. Develop knowledge of, promote and sell all Barkefellers services and products. Continuously ensure that front desk and lobby is kept clean and presentable at all times in order to provide a 5-star facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to check guests and their pet in and out
  • Ability to answer incoming customer questions, concerns in person, on the phone and online
  • Ability to handle monetary transactions
  • Ability to perform light housekeeping duties such as: washing windows, dusting, running sweeper, and mopping as the need arises in the lobby area
  • Ability to perform retail sales by developing a strong knowledge of services and products offered
  • Ability to move or lift 40lbs pounds or more depending upon the task
  • Ability to perform routine play activities and interaction with the pets in the hotel as the need arises
  • All other duties assigned by Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
Basic office skills (computer, phone, grammar, spelling), basic math competency. The employee must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have strong customer relations skills. The employee must stay current in all education and attend all mandatory meetings as they become available. The employee must be able to adhere to the physical demands of the position by being able to run, lift, and bend on any given occasion. The employee must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. The employee must have reliable transportation to and from work in order to show up at their scheduled time and ready for work.

POSITION TITLE: Groomer
DEPARTMENT: Grooming
REPORTS TO: General Manager
FLSA STATUS: Commissioned
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time

Position Summary:
The Groomer will be responsible for properly and professionally grooming dogs. The Groomer should be able to handle five to seven dogs per day. Breed-standard clipping knowledge is preferred with a minimum of two years’ experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must provide own shears and clippers
  • Must greet client dogs’ and take instructions for grooming the client’s in a professional manner
  • Must wash, fold, and put away their own towels.
  • Must sweep or vacuum grooming room after each dog has been groomed
  • Must clean tub and tub walls after each washing
  • Must inform owner/manager when shampoo and grooming supplies are running low.
  • All other duties assigned by the Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

The employee must be able to adhere to the physical demands of the position by being able to properly utilize good upper and lower body mechanics when lifting and bending on any given occasion. The employee must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. The employee must have reliable transportation to and from work in order to show up at their scheduled time and ready for work.

POSITION TITLE: Hotel/Dog Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Hotel
REPORTS TO: Hotel Manager
FLSA STATUS: Hourly
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time

Position Summary:
The Hotel/Dog & Cat Attendant is responsible for ensuring that the overall indoor guest suites, as well as the indoor and outdoor grounds of the hotel are well cleaned and maintained. The Attendant is responsible for supervising the safety and security of appropriate play of Doggie Day Care play groups. Coordinate elimination walks and playtimes, prepare and deliver room service to our hotel guests, monitor and record guests’ overall health, (both Canine & Feline), provide guests with cleaned laundry and dishes. Clean all common areas and outdoor yards as well as equipment. Other duties include but not limited to: writing report cards and interacting with pet owners. Must be confident with all breeds and sizes of dogs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety and security of all canine and feline animals
  • Provide routine elimination walks and playtimes
  • Prepare and deliver room service to our hotel guests
  • Monitor and records guests overall health
  • Clean and re-set suites for both canine and feline
  • Provide daily clean laundry and dishes to all guests
  • Routinely clean all common areas, outdoor yards and equipment
  • Ability to move or lift 40lbs or more depending upon the task
  • All other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Personal or professional dog-handling experience preferred but not required. The employee must be comfortable around all dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes. The employee must able to lift 40lbs or more depending upon the task. The employee must be able to adhere to the physical demands of the position by being able to run, lift, and bend on any given occasion. The employee must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
